First Europe Trip - Brussels & Luxembourg
00:07So I gathered my hard will now after months of leaving this blog empty, but that's because I have nothing to update my life about as well. Since I've spent a short amount of time, well to be exact 4 days in Europe, I shall blog about my trip!
As a start, this was so terrible. Nadia and me were eating happily and we were still so oblivious to the time that we missed our flight and had to go on the next day. With that, we had to change alot of the itinerary that I've already planned for the trip. Here's the pictures and stories that hopefully will entertain you despite our stupid start.
Upon arrival to Brussels Airport, we took the Belgian rail to Brussels Midi Station, which is where our hotel is near at. Once we've checked in to the hotel, we went right straight out and here's the night to compensate for our missed flight... Unlike the other people who is expected to do the touristy stuff, I never expect myself to steer from this idea and we visited the Pantone Hotel using the metro to Munthof and figure out how to get there without wifi. Luckily, I didn't exit my google maps so the GPS was still working and we got the directions right. Nadia bought herself a pretty little lilac mug before we head out on foot to the touristy area, which took us an hour to walk...
I swear this tartiflette from the christmas market tastes so amazing.... I crave for it everyday, even till now. Well you can't blame me as I'm a potato addict.
Brussels, Belgium
Got photobombbed! You know how shocked I am while they creeped up suddenly behind me!
Had a cup of Orange Hot Chocolate spoon from Le Comptoir de Mathilde and it tastes so amazing, well maybe just cuz of its creativity that makes it special. :D
Got up early to catch a train to Luxembourg but we were greeted by rain once we wanted to go out. Had no choice to take a taxi even though our hotel was so near the train station. A 3 hour ride to Luxembourg, it was nice to get some sleep again to energise ourselves. It was such a rainy day to begin with but we brave souls still walked through the rain the whole of this day.
It was time to get back to Brussels the next day... but I overslept and so we had to take the train that departs an hour later... Hey, what matters is that we can get back to Brussels while it was still daylight, but because we were just rushing most of the time, we decided to take away the fast food there and ate it really fast in the hotel before leaving again.
First stop.. Mini Europe
A proof photo even though I didn't go to Paris.
Nadia and I made our trip to Grand Sablon which we spent a whole lot on chocolates.
We also had a very typical Belgian dinner for which I had mussels and kir there after our search for the best chocolates near the area of Grand Sablon, which was a lovely experience despite the owner speaking very little english but we can tell he was so elated that we came to visit.
Last day was a really chillax day, spending time at the Parc du Cinquantenaire before our flight back to London.
And that's about it for our very short adventure!
