The Church sits on 8 acres of land,and with the extentions,it has a gross floor area of 6929 sq metres...

The history of the church spans over 3 centuries,which are the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries...

The land for the St.Andrew's Cathedral was set aside by Sir Stamford Raffles in 1823...And the Church was built by an Irish Architect called G.D Coleman..Who also built the Armenian Church...

The First church was strucked by lightning twice on August 1845 and April 1849..
By 1852,the church was declared unsafe...

The current church was the second church built,and was designed by Lieutenant-Colonel Ronald MacPherson of the Madras Artillery...
The Architecture of the church is GOTHIC,Or OlD ENGLISH STYLE OF the 12th CenTuRY..

St. ANdrew's Cathedral is declared a national monument on 28th June 1973..
