Day 10
Lunch date with my fellow Gessians.. at their SCHOOL. Kind of freaked out since I wasn't a student there but went ahead to ate a plate of $4.80 pasta at the tea party. I swear I only started going to ktvs because of them. Teehee.


Headed over to Marche for a very long lunch indeed (almost till dinner time).

Had queued for over an hour after Yollanda and Fidel's work time and felt utterly disappointed at the crew of Assembly Ground. The kitchen's closed? Well you could tell us earlier when the food is gonna finish, is it?

Well, anyways we headed up to try Bricks n Cubes cafe, which of course has less people and we got seats! Right away....

Went to Genki Sushi to have our dinner and boy I must say its the most fulfilling dinner I had. Chawanmushi addicts present! Oh I was too engrossed in eating till I forgot to take pictures.

After all the eating. We sweat it out by playing the dance game on wii, if I'm not wrong. Plus mario karts which I obviously scored last at all times.
Conclusion? I suck at games. BIG TIME.

Day 18
The last day in Singapore.. who would have thought such a day will come?
I was panicking the night before because there were too many things that needs to be packed...

Despite arriving early I waited long enough for my friends as they woke up late!
Took a few pictures before leaving through the departure gate and guess what? I was the last person on board the plane.

Today's entry will be heavily loaded with words, as I have lots to say.
I began this post with a short rap to get things off my mind a little bit.
This week was extremely difficult for me.

Waking up to find yourself listening to people's orders and having it to do right away... is a total nuisance to me. This action, repeats itself for the 2 weeks now. I'm far more tired and agitated by the people who always tell me what to do, or all pretentious like a wolf once I turn my back. Just sick and tired.

This time round I resumed with something I had paused a few years back - lyrics.
I used to be interested in rapping. I wrote poems, lyrics and such since I was in elementary school, and uploaded some covers on Youtube too. But that interest of mine died off when my school friends watched it on my channel, which made me even more self-conscious and eventually took the videos down.

Sad episode huh. To be honest, I never really try what I wanted to try, never realise the dream that was inside. All decisions were made by the people surrounding me, and factors, factors, factors. Yet, I'm still unsure what's best for me.

One life. 10 dreams. Is that possible? A painter, entrepreneur, singer, blogger, fashion designer, jewellery designer, stylist, hairdresser, housewife, producer. Areas of art and fashion? You need a name first. There's some serious talks if I had been more matured back in the days but I believe you won't grow much from a Singaporean culture -  unless you're very academically focused I don't think it will help much in the future. Just saying my own thoughts.

Back here in Jakarta for almost a month now. It's the longest period I've stayed in here after a long while and I'm starting to look back at my own identity. I am an Indonesian, yet I don't act like one. I can't speak or write the language properly, and can't stand the some characteristics of my fellow country mates too. Yet, I'm not really keen about Singapore either, except the shopping part.

I wonder where do I really belong. Will going back to Jakarta at the period when I was in high school change anything? I met so many people who are younger than me and much more successful than I am. Or am I just useless. That is a thought that I ask myself every now and then. Am I really ready for this world?

Writing my answers as the days go by... with a hopeful yes in my mind. While this rant stops here for the time being, I'll be blogging about some other topics... if I find the right time for it.

Found another food specialty while walking, Bakpia! Read that this one brand to try in Jogja, but I found another brand which tastes better on our last day... Bakpia Pathok 25 (didn't get to take any pic of that brand though, but tastes much better.)


Day 2
--- Borobudur Temple, Magelang
I don't remember how long was the journey to Borobudur from our hotel as I was sleeping most of the time. The purpose of this trip was actually to visit this! I thought it would take half a day for us to stay there to take pics but it took us only around an hour or so and that's the end... BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY... I GOT TANNED!!!! I really, really hate being tanned :(

With a traditional chinese interior, its an architecture treasure that it can last till now. This place is usually used for buddhist retreats.


Day 3
--- Prambanan Temple
Its like everyday that I went to visit temples in Jogja, but this is my favourite... The beauty of these temples is not just in the architecture but also the stories and legends behind it and to say because I do not need to climb alot, plus the place is picturesque. *A jump shot is a must in every trip! :) *




--- House of Raminten
This is our last meal before we leave Jogja, and its kind of the worst experience we had. We arrived at around 12 noon with hungry stomachs and when we arrived there we are asked to wait outside. However after waiting for around half an hour we went to ask the counter if there are any seats inside already and they said that its empty but they're waiting for 77 people to come at 1pm. What kind of nonsense is that we aren't allowed to eat inside, and 1 hour is pretty much more than enough to eat our lunch. We had no choice than to eat outside, finally starting our meal nearly at 1.30pm, more than an hour later after we arrived at the resto. The food was just so-so, really disappointed at both the service and the place itself, and we had to pay for the chili (hello its supposed to be free everywhere?!).



And so I bid farewell to Yogyakarta... a town really different from what I'm used to. Next time I'll try more of the local food there! I haven't tried Mie Jawa or Mie Godog yet!!

Hey I figured that I had to write something to take that something off my mind for a little bit. I'm finally moving on to a new chapter of my life but I'm honestly scared for what's to happen. Got accepted to a few unis in the UK, but yet now I'm not sure if everything's gonna be all right. I have never been there, and this time round it's gonna be another 3 or 4 years again for me to have a degree. Really scared.
