Just 4 days after I got back from London, let's put aside all the jet lag and laziness because I am going to BALI! It wasn't a real holiday exactly... I just tagged along since my dad has a meeting to attend. Maybe because I haven't step foot into this island for so long, everything was exciting for me.. Especially because I can have the freedom of what I can't have in Jakarta, which is wearing whatever clothes you want to without being stared at.

Since we only had 2.5 days in Bali, it was pretty hard to go all of the places I listed down. The last time I went to Bali was in secondary school so that has made it about 8 years since. I forgot all the experience I had in the past, so I had to ask my friends places to go and also the reliable, Instagram.

So here's a review of my trip! I know some of the places may be outdated to be called "trendy" but I haven't been to any of them so yeah I can be as touristy as I like here. Can I please please please have a chance to become a travel blogger, I think that's really my joy these days.

Traditional Balinese Food

Nasi Pedas Ibu Andika

WARNING: THIS IS VERY SPICY, even without the chilli and for me who can handle quite a spice.

I think its because I just got back but look at the price! Rp 30.000 is less than just 2 pounds. Londoners will go crazy for that.

Warung Babi Guling Bu Dayu

Babi Guling is a very common dish in Bali, served with roast pork, pork rind, vegetables and soup.

I remember years back I wouldn't eat this meal because I thought it was cruel to the piggy, but it was time to try it now. Ever since I lived in the UK I think I have learnt to appreciate all kinds of food and this turns out to be so so so delicious. I rate it a 10/10, spicy level bit more than I can handle but still bearable. Thumbs up for the pork satay as well,,,,,,, I think that's the best part of the meal.

I did not regret this one bit even though I had 4 meals earlier the day before. Crazy full but also crazy delicious.

Even took away 2 sticks to eat back in the hotel hahahha

Warung Babi Guling Pak Malen

This was less of a satisfaction than Bu Dayu's. I can say its a 5/10 for the taste, very normal. Not much else to describe it I'm sorry.

Had to fly off to Lombok after and can I say how beautiful is this view from my hotel room! Its called Origin Lombok if any of you are curious, and just book the one with the pool view. Won't regret it.

It boosts an open space concept with a common pool, just really nice and chill atmosphere. Was a shame I only stayed a night here before flying back to Jakarta. Man, the itinerary for this trip was too rushed. If you'd like to appreciate some sun and nature, Lombok is the place to go since its not populated.
